I have been a registered nurse for 9 ½ years. I have spent the majority of my career managing an ENT and oral surgery outpatient clinic here at Duke. Nursing has created many opportunities for me professionally, and with evolving healthcare, I especially love learning new things daily. I particularly enjoy caring for the entire patient, extending beyond diagnosis. Duke has given me so many opportunities to grow within the organization and I especially look forward to my growth and how I can share my knowledge here in population health.
Nursing is not a job, but a calling to serve others. I have a passion and desire to make the community safer and healthier for all populations. I would like to impact the gap of care for all populations, race, age groups, and cultures.
