Meredith Morse

I am a trauma-informed counseling student at NCCU pursuing dual licensure in clinical mental health and addictions treatment. My undergraduate education focused on political science, public policy, and history. As a former military wife of 20 years, I have extensive non-profit experience in diverse locations across the US with an intimate understanding of the needs of our veteran community. Other populations I have served include young children in under-resourced communities, incarcerated women, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Edward Archer, BS

I’m currently a counseling student specializing in mental health and addictions counseling. I’m passionate about understanding people’s experiences and supporting them through challenges related to emotional well-being and substance use. What I enjoy most about this work is the opportunity to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can feel heard and empowered. I’m especially interested in implementing evidence-based approaches that promote resilience, healing, and long-term growth.

Denise Cerniglia

Before coming to mental health counseling, I worked for over 30 years as a ballet teacher. I've grown to love building relationships and helping people feel empowered to reach their goals and to recognize their strengths. I'm especially drawn to storytelling as a therapeutic tool and the use of narrative approaches in clinical settings to help clients make meaning of their experiences and author new possibilities for themselves.

Carol Abken
