I am a native of NC with some family roots in Durham, NC. I have been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) for 16+ years. I received degrees from both NC Central University and NC A&T State University. My background includes community mental health, vocational rehabilitation, ED behavioral health, and care management. I am very passionate about helping others and very patient-centered. I love to empower patients and advocate on their behalf.

I’m a social worker with over 30 years of experience and have worked in many different settings, including dialysis, inpatient case management, and hospice care. I’ve been with Duke Health since 2021. I enjoy getting to know patients and their families, understanding what matters most to them, and walking alongside them as they work toward their goals.

Brittany Collins, BSN, RN, CNIII

I’m a registered nurse. My clinical experience is in orthopedics and neurosurgery. I’ve cared for patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and complex neurological conditions, focusing on post-operative care and patient education. In my previous role, I worked as a triage nurse across multiple ambulatory care specialties, such as endocrinology, urology, hematology, sickle cell, pain, infectious disease, geriatrics, keto medicine & weight loss, and primary care.

Lexi Galford, BSN, RN, PCCN

I began my nursing career with Duke in 2020, working through inpatient cardiology stepdown, cardiac procedures, outpatient hospice, and community health roles. I love meeting patients and their families and believe that modern medicine is about walking with people through each season that life brings. I currently live in Raleigh with my husband and fluffy golden retriever.
