Population Health Nurse, Duke Foster Care Clinic
Katherine, or “Kat” as she prefers to be called, is a nurse who has been with Duke Health since she was a new graduate nurse in 2014 after an 11-year career in Public Radio. She began her nursing career in the Duke University Hospital Emergency Department, and has since worked for the health system as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), a Transfer Center Nurse, the Duke Health SANE Program Manager, and now as PHMO's Population Health Nurse for the Duke Foster Care Clinic. In 2020, she obtained her MSN in Nursing Informatics. Kat is passionate about community education and ensuring compassionate care coordination for all our patients.
