Ms. Kinard serves as associate chief nursing officer for the Duke Population Health Management Office (PHMO). Prior to joining Duke, she served in a variety of roles with Wake County Medical Society Community Health Foundation, including care manager, provider services manager, deputy director, and executive director. She also served as a regional vice president for Community Care of North Carolina. In addition to care management experience, Ms. Kinard has expertise in practice / provider support, a commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for addressing social drivers of health. Ms. Kinard obtained her nursing degree from Watts School of Nursing in Durham and her graduate degrees from East Carolina University. She enjoys spending time with family and is active in extracurricular activities that involve her children, including a local figure skating club and school choir.
