Understanding the Shift to Value

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 or MACRA, aims to fundamentally change the way healthcare is reimbursed by linking payment to "value"—the delivery of high-quality care at a reasonable cost. Although Congress continues to cast doubt over the future of the Affordable Care Act, MACRA was passed with strong bicameral and bipartisan support, virtually guaranteeing that it's here to stay.
